There are multiple ways to track leads in WordPress. But the concept is almost same in all. There be a Contact Form and a Success Page (Thank-You Page).

Here, we will learn how to easily track leads in WordPress. We will use Google Analytics and its Goal Conversion metrics for it.

Steps:

1) Install Fast and Secure Contact Form and customize it according to your need. We will use this plugin because it’s secure and provide more functionality.

2) Create a Thank-You Page using Add New Page option in WordPress. Hide it from Navigation bar and Widgets. Having trouble? Use this Plugin.

3) Put the Thank-You address in Fast and Secure Contact Form Option and insert short code of Form in Landing Page.

4) Create a Goal under Google Analytics and put Thank-you Page address in Goal URL.

5) Although it is optional but we will create a Funnel for more insights. Insert the address of landing page in Goal Funnel and save Goal. You can also think about inserting a Goal Value.

It’s done! Now, you can track the leads as Goals in Google Analytics.

Note: Please insert /index.php after default WordPress URL if the above steps are not working.
